Eddie....or Little BIG Ed (nickname given to him due to his short stature and BIG trucking mouth) was the hardest loss for myself to date in my Skydiving family. I think of him everyday and smile when I do. Eddie was king of the "Safety Meetings" in our crew and one of the original founding members of the "Ditch Gang". Eddie was a jump-hoar and good friend...
John Archibald gave meaning to the Skydiving saying "Growing OLD is inevitable, Growing UP is OPTIONAL!".
Scott - thanks for gettting me into SkySurfing...and being a straight up guy. I loved the fact that it was just you and I during the Skysurfing seminar at UPC - and had so much fun hanging out with you and Tim.
Mike Bailey (left) pictured here with Larry Schatz at the World FreeFall convention in Quincy. Mike was my first jumpmaster - he also taught me how to pack. My favorite memory or Mike is when he was "Pie'd in the face" at the '92 Herd Boogie to celebrate what I believe was his 1000th jump. I also loved lining up across the UPC DZ with a bunch of skydivers and mooning him as he buzzed the runway in the Lear Jet. My favorite jump with Mike was believe it or not in Laurel, DE when a bunch of the Ditch gang took over their DZ. And most importantly - HE COULDN'T SPOT FOR SHIT! Thanks for those long walks back to the DZ out of the Caribou Mike....good show ;-)
